Afterschool Programs

Eakin has three after school opportunities for 3rd - 5th grade students.

Monday and Tuesday students work with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department in the 

Center Without Walls (CWOW) is an innovative outreach program that provides access to Columbus Recreation and Parks Department services for youth who live in areas without a community center or where there is no safe walking route to the nearest location. CWOW’s core services include after-school programming, summer camps, in-school outreach, and community pop-ups. The program consist of competitive and strategy-building games, field trips, various sports, arts and crafts, science experiments, special guests, and more!

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday students work with MY Project USA Eakin Rise after school program. The program is a multi-discipline experience which supports students as they explore technology, games, reading & math, and grow up to be leaders & strong community members. 

Thursday students also work with the Final Third Foundation partners with Eakin to provide a Soccer & Literacy Program in partnership with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. This after-school program  promotes health, wellness, achievement, leadership and character development, both on and off the field.
